Graphic Novels Are Haunting My Dreams

Come on over to the ALSC blog to read my post "Graphic novels are haunting my dreams." Or at least taking over my office. It's a good thing I love 'em so much, because they really are becoming a can of worms, professionally speaking!

  1. I really liked that post on the ALSC blog. It was a good overview of the practical issues raised by the proliferation of graphic novels as well as an appreciation of their value.

  2. I haven't read your post yet, but would like to add in the spirit of "opening a can of worms" that Robot Dreams was the first graphic novel I read is the book that started my small obsession with the graphic novels..

  3. Oh, the bittersweetness of "Robot Dreams"...! For me, I think it was Death Jr. by Gary Whitta (drawn by the incomparable Ted Naifeh).

  4. Well, now I must go find Death Jr.! (And by the way, it's your former children's librarian from RB:)
